The article focuses on the designs of the pillows and wall art like painting of Sigrun Lara Shanko, a former bank executive based in Iceland. She unites images from her Norse heritage with techniques adapted from oil and watercotor painting, as well as batik printing. Most of her pillows are made of silk fabrics. Generally, Shanko's pillows and artwork are influenced by the culture and surroundings in Iceland.
