ABSTRACT
The article highlights the Extreme Textiles: Designing for High Performance held at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in Washington D.C. in the spring of 2005. There were about 150 applications from aeronautics, medicine, apparel, sports, agriculture, transportation, and civil engineering included in the exhibition. Matilda McQuaid was the curator of the museum.
