ABSTRACT
The article reports on the proposed 2007 fiscal budget of U.S. President George W. Bush for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The proposed budget will cut the funding for the Community Development Block Grant program by 27 percent. Thus, the overall budget for the department is 622 million dollars less the actual 2006 budget. Roy Bernardi, HUD deputy secretary, asserted that the budget is well intended and that they will use it to further improve programs.
