The article looks at the process of merging the special libraries within Toronto, Ontario-based Nesbitt Burns and Chicago, Illinois-based Harris Nesbitt to form the Business Research Group. Difficulty of merging the two libraries was driven by the following: differing nature of each library's services; personal resistance; and geographic distance. Despite minor setbacks, the Business Research Group is moving forward by using complementary expertise and skills to meet its users' needs.
