ABSTRACT
The article discusses the author's experience of being the president of the Canadian Library Association. She had the opportunity to visit members in their native habitat. She had attended the opening of the newly renovated Millennium Library in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She had witnessed an overflow crowd pursuing leisure and learning at the Cambie branch of the Richmond Public Library in British Columbia.
