ABSTRACT

Law firms Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Freshfields) and Osborne Clarke have successfully handled the acquisition of the Friends Reunited website. Freshfields was hired by ITV Corp. in early 2005 to manage the acquisition process. Great Britain's Serious Fraud Office is planning to prosecute six pharmaceutical companies for unfair price-fixing. Lawyers are expecting that the pharmaceutical companies could face penalties for cheating Great Britain's National Health Service.
