Law firm Simmons & Simmons has recently announced its plans to open an office in South East Asia. The firm also wants to open an office in Beijing, China. China's largest law firm King & Wood (KW) has opened a new office in Hong Kong, China. KW opened its office in November 2005 after the Hong Kong Law Society approved its registration as a foreign firm. Around 75 percent of law firm Herbert Smith's junior lawyers have resigned from the company during the past year.
