ABSTRACT
The article informs that New York-based law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP (Weil) has sent a group of lawyers to India on a fact-finding trip. Weil has sent corporate partners Will Rosen and Jeffrey Weinberg to India for a week-long tour of the region to examine the firm's local options. According to Rosen, the firm was not planning to open a representative office in India. The trip's objective was to strengthen ties with Indian law firms, business enterprises and banks. Several other law firms are also sending their representatives on fact-finding trips to India.
