Crossover move

Farnsworth, Clare
February 2006
Sporting News;2/17/2006, Vol. 230 Issue 7, p44
The article reports that Jeremy Bloom is a World Cup champion freestyle skier and a gold medal favorite in the moguls event at the Winter Olympics. He also is a frustrated former University of Colorado football player who had his eligibility revoked by the NCAA in 2004 because he took endorsement money related to his other sport. He has the added benefit of the hand strength developed from all those years of gripping ski poles. Bloom has plenty of leg strength. In freestyle skiing, he reaches speeds of 35 mph and jumps to heights of 25 feet.
