The article presents information on the multicarrier multilink eXtensions (MMX) launched by Qualcomm Inc. The code division multiple access innovator, Qualcomm has its eye on the next phase of wireless data. It is already looking toward Revision B of EV-DO although Revision A networks haven't been launched yet. The first commercial high-speed downlink packet access, cellular handset has not yet been shipped, but efforts to exceed the technology's impressive 14.4 Mb/s theoretical ceiling have already started. These developments are made possible by the new technology, MMX.
