ABSTRACT
The article reports on the continuous growth in service providers router revenues. In the third quarter of 2005, revenues increased a modest 3 percent, but it is believed that seasonal spending patterns caused the lower growth rate, rather than changes in fundamental demand drivers. As service providers are investing more heavily in their IP router infrastructures, they are reduce their spending on such legacy technologies as Multiservice WAN Switches.
