ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the efforts to preserve the nearly extinct race of California condors. California condors can reach the heights of 5,000, 10,000 or even 15,000 feet and can glide, turn, swoop and plunge with skill. The California Forest Service, the National Audubon Society and University of California scientists established a sanctuary and conduct definitive scientific study of the vanishing species of condors.
