ABSTRACT
The article reports that Chinese domestic polyolefin prices had fell by up to RMB200 per metric ton prior week on sluggish demand and increased supply ahead of the Chinese New Year holidays. High prices for imported polyethylene, which was hovering at RMB11,400-11,500 per ton delivered, have forced local converters to either shut their plants or reduce operating rates since the start of 2006.
