ABSTRACT
The article presents views of sportscaster Bob Hille on developments related to sports in the U.S. Teammates are calling basketball player Kobe Bryant Mr. 81, and it's catching on. It's now No. 2 behind the rest of the league's nickname for him: Mr. Will Never Win a Ring Without Shaq. National Broadcasting Co. Inc. is making all efforts to promote snowboarders during prime time. With all the gifted young women joining the LPGA golf tour, it's the dawn of a new era, a time when women might get a tee time at the local club.
