ABSTRACT
The article looks at how three artists use wire as an art material. Artist/designer Sharmen Liao creates knitted wire mesh bags using colored or silver-plated copper wire. Artist Ema Tanigaki develops her jewelry of crocheted wire using stainless steel. Finally, artist/designer Blanka Sperkova develops her wire jewelry and sculptures using a method of finger knitting wire.
