ABSTRACT
The article examines the loss of New England's Boston Red Sox baseball team to the St. Louis Cardinals. The loss is difficult to comprehend because the Cardinals, who were sixth placers last year, did not have their best pitcher for half of the season. The past victories of the Red Sox are examined in order to determine what caused the loss.
