ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the application of fiber lasers in stent cutting and solder mask stencil cutting. Stenting involves the insertion of laser cut into a fine wall wire mesh-like structure. Fiber lasers have an edge in such process because it produce low-taper, high aspect ratio cuts with small process optimization. It has also the capability to fit into the floor space of a single solid-state lasers.
