Commission OKs Crucial Katrina Aid

The commission was briefed on the available options for the debt requests under the Gulf Opportunity Zone Act of 2005. Whitman Kling, director of the State Bond Commission, asserted that under the act, the state can only issue up to 7.9 billion of the bonds.
