ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the Institute of Legal Executives (Ilex) has voted in favor of the measures being taken by the government which is included in the Compensation Bill to protect the public from unregulated claims management companies (CMCs) in Great Britain. The bill is expected to order CMCs to comply with standards of conduct and rules to regulate against bad practice. According to the former president of Ilex George Owens, public has been expressing concern about CMCs who were pressurizing clients into bringing unmerited claims.
