ABSTRACT
The article describes several developments related to consolidation and mergers of business enterprises. The general counsel of Eon Corp., Fiona Stark has denied the talks of consolidation between the companies Eon Corp. and Scottish Power PLC. The Spain-based company Telefonica has announced to float its subsidiary company Endemol after taking over the UK-based mobile phone company. Telefonica Co. has planned to take over the domestic firm Garrigues because the commercial partner of this company Monica Martin, who is also a former general counsel, has already represented the company earlier in the legal proceedings.
