ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the joint venture of the company Addleshaw Goddard and the Scottish company Biggart Baillie to break a Chinese generic agrochemical manufacturing ring. Last year the firms undertook a similar action, securing seven biddings. The world's largest agrochemical conference, British Crop Protection Council Crop Science and Technology Conference in Glasgow attracts millions of pounds of sales. Brent Haywood, litigation head of Biggarts who led the enforcement, said he believed 19 simultaneous biddings was a record for Scotland. Two of the infringing companies were ejected from the conference as they refused to comply with the bidding.
