The article reports that the company Clifford Chance is predicting a record financial year for 2005-06 as revenue for the first six months. The leap in revenue to £500m represents a 10 percent increase on the performance of the previous year and keeps the firm on track to beat its record year in 2001. Profits of Clifford Chance are poised to shoot up to more than £8,500 per unit in the current year resulting in the partners being paid more than £. Performance like this could mark the end of a difficult period for this company.
