ABSTRACT
The article reports that among the top 50 law firms of Great Britain, the company, Denton Wilde Sapte (DWS) has suffered the largest exodus of associates. During the last financial year, compared with a 14 percent assistant turnover rate among top 50 firms, 32.07 percent of assistants left DWS. Other firms that performed badly included the company, Ashurst which had an assistant turnover rate of 26 percent, the company Allen & Overy and SJ Berwin & Co. had an attrition rate of 25 percent. The company Bird & Bird and Clyde &Co. had the fewest associates leave and boasted the lowest rates of 2 percent and 2.4 percent respectively.
