ABSTRACT
The article presents the views of Richard Parry-Jones, chief technical officer of Ford Motor Co., on the automobile industry. According to Parry-Jones, there is an emerging consensus of opinion regarding the issue on carbon dioxide and climate change. He adds that in the next 50 years, the internal combustion engine will be playing a significant role in a set of more efficient propulsion systems in automobiles.
