ABSTRACT
The article discusses the author's experience recalling his encounter with a moose sighted at Amsterdam Water Works in New York on February 1988 as a member of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. The moose was named Y-6 after she was collared to monitor her movements. He felt sad that the moose which he considered different and approachable from the other moose sighted dies while giving birth.
