Hitting the Trail on Tug Hill

The article offers information on snowmobiling in the Tug Hill of New York. It is one of the most popular recreation activities in a region with a relatively high elevation and heavy snow. Snowmobile trails open on the first Monday after the first Sunday in December. The region has vast groomed trails, and rideable snow cover that usually lasts until the end of March. The article lists several state forests and wildlife management areas on the hill managed by the Department of Environmental Conservation to accommodate snowmobile trails.
