ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a deal of Charter Communications Inc. with Affinegy to help customers turn their cable-modem service into a network of home computers. According to Chief Technical Officer Art Lancaster, Cox Communications has rolled out InstaLAN software of Affinegy in six markets and will deploy it in more systems in 2006. The software works on computers running Microsoft operating systems including Windows 98, Windows MT, Windows 200 and Windows XP.
