ABSTRACT
This article presents information on developments related to baseball in the U.S. Johnny Damon needs to shut up. If the Boston Red Sox truly believed that he was "washed up"--Damon's version--they would not have offered him $40 million over four years. One wonders why the Anaheim Angels don't sign free-agent righthander Jeff Weaver. Bartolo Colon and Kelvim Escobar are physical questions, and Weaver's younger brother, Jered, Joe Saunders and Hector Carrasco are the candidates to be the fifth starter.
