A changing of the guard may be in the Cards

This article focuses on the baseball team Arizona Cardinals. New ballpark revenue should make the Cardinals even stronger, but ownership declined to increase payroll with the park opening this season. Some thought the team would start to decline last season, but the Cardinals successfully replaced three members of their up-the-middle defense. This season, they must replace starting pitcher Matt Morris, several relievers, both corner outfielders and their second baseman. Of the Cardinals' rivals, the Chicago Cubs most resemble last year's Chicago White Sox, thanks to their potentially dominant starting pitching.
