The article concerns with the computer programs that is important as the hardware required for the eight remote locations. Each one had to have a voice radio for communications of race information and general race control. Each location also had to have at least one packet station and two computers interconnected via LAN with attendant routers and cables. Batteries had to support the equipment for the duration of the race.
