ABSTRACT
The article reports on the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program of the United States. The JROTC program is designed to prepare high school students for leadership roles and give them awareness of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens. Some of the extracurricular activities under the program are color guard, community parades and drill and rifle team competitions.
