ABSTRACT
The article reports on the initiative of food industry in providing more healthful menu items to children in order to avoid the risk to obesity, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and diabetes. The Wausau SCHOOL, or the School Children Have early Onset Of Leading risk factors for CVD and diabetes, Project, found out that kids who eat four or five times a week, had a higher blood pressure, poor cholesterol levels and lower insulin sensitivity, factors that might lead to CVD or diabetes.
