ABSTRACT
This section presents updates on the financial developments of several chemical companies in India, as of December 2005. The Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and Evolva, a Swiss biotechnology company, have reached an agreement to collaborate in medicinal chemistry and cell biology. Meanwhile, Oil and Natural Gas Corp. has been named the biggest wealth creator for a five-year period. Moreover, Hikal Ltd. has entered into a joint venture agreement by acquiring a minority stake in one of the subsidiaries of Sinochem Corp.
