ABSTRACT
The article talks about the challenges being faced by leaders in gauging the effectiveness of knowledge workers. Leaders need to create effective social networks and maximize individual and team effectiveness through technology. Collaborative software tools needed by managers at their disposal 24/7 are enumerated. Leaders also need to partner with IT to be highly efficient and effective at what they do while keeping costs down and maintaining a balanced budget.
