ABSTRACT
The article focuses on changes the motion picture industry in the U.S. might wish to consider in 2006. The one television-to-film upgrade with gas in the tank was Warner Bros. Pictures Inc.'s "The Dukes of Hazzard," which attracted young-male viewers by allowing them to see something they could not see in the original series--actress Jessica Simpson wedged into a pair of Daisy Dukes. Warner Independent Pictures' "March of the Penguins" overcame those marketing challenges to become one of 2005's biggest surprise hits. The marching penguins, penguins, penguins were not the only creatures with big-screen legs.
