ABSTRACT
This article reports that Jones International Academy is going to acquire rival cable education services outfit NCTI for an unspecified amount. Tom Brooksher, president of NCTI said that combining the two companies, which provide continuing education in cable technology and management, was a "natural fit." The article also reports that the consolidation has come at a time when the cable industry must expand its knowledge base well beyond video, including all-digital, Internet Protocol-based net works and wireless schemes.
