ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the decline in the ratings of the cable television programs "Monk" of USA Network and "The Shield" of FX in the U.S. in January 2006. "Monk" generated a 4.3. household rating. USA Network obtained syndication rights to the show beginning in 2008. In the January 14 debut, "Hustle" on AMC garnered a 0.45 rating.
