ABSTRACT
The article presents updates on several construction projects involving health care facilities in the U.S. as of January 2006. Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center plans to build a facility on a site in Edison Lakes, Indiana. The Oswego Hospital has opened a surgical center in New York. The Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center will include a patient tower in its planned expansion in Danville, Kentucky. The Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond has begun construction of its 14-story health care tower. The Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy in Charlotte, North Carolina is being renovated.
