The article describes activities at Camp Inferno, a residential camp in Overland Park, Kansas where young women aged 15 to 19 experience challenges faced in the fire service. The main aim of the camp is to educate and encourage qualified young women to become fire fighters. Preparations for the camp, training of camp instructors and staff and planning of exercises were supervised by the Overland Park Fire Department and other fire departments in the area.
