The article reports on the efforts of singer Lisa Thorson to create a multimedia, multisensory, interactive jazz performance piece so that all people can access live jazz. In the performance called JazzArtSigns, the band operates with American Sign Language interpreters, and a painter, along with a live audio describer and text captioner. Besides the performance, VSA arts of Massachusetts is sponsoring workshops in jazz and painting improvisation, universal design in the arts, and audience development.
