ABSTRACT
The article presents information on developments related to baseball in the U.S. The year ended none too soon for the Baltimore Orioles--who endured one of the worst periods of any franchise in recent memory--but not before one last embarrassment. RHP Roger Clemens is keeping his thoughts about pitching in 2006 to himself, but speculation is he will sit out the first few months of the season, then negotiate a deal to return to the Houston Astros, perhaps after the All-Star break. The Chicago White Sox upgraded their World Series-winning lineup and rotation, and they have only one unsigned player eligible for arbitration, 3B Joe Crede.
