ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a survey by the company, AITE Groups on bank frauds in the U.S. The findings suggest that the loan-related fraud losses have shot up from 19 to 30 percent of total fraud losses and the share of fraud losses from checks and credit cards has dropped in the past five years. The eight of ten banks surveyed by AITE do not have a single manager handling reports from anti-fraud units and seven out of those ten agree that their fraud detection efforts should be migrated to a single platform.
