ABSTRACT
The article reports on the keynote presentations made by Microsoft chief Bill Gates and Sony chairman Howard Stringer at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January 2006. Issues on entertainment and the two next-generation, high-definition optical-disc are the focus of the presentations. Gates dwelled on the Windows Vista operating system, while Stringer emphasized the Blu-ray format's capacity.
