ABSTRACT
The article presents information about Sherry Lansing, chairman of Paramount Pictures Corp. When Laming announced earlier this year that she was stepping down, it was one of those rare times when the industry stands back and assesses not just the moment but the era itself. What came before Lansing was clear--it was a time in which no woman headed a studio, no woman had absolute green light authority, no woman reached the very pinnacle of Hollywood power. Before Lansing, women were relegated to the editing rooms or development hell or acting.
