ABSTRACT
The article reports on a €88 million offered by Hexion Specialty Chemicals for the inks and adhesive resins business unit of Akzo Nobel. The divestment of the unit of Akzo is part of the realignment and reduction of its chemical portfolio. Other operations put up for sale by the firm include its oleo-chemicals and salt specialties. The purchase will strengthen the portfolio of Hexion.
