The article reflects on the radical change in the manufactured products segment of the home textile industries in various countries. It expressed its dismay on the abundance of supplier type U.S. companies and not manufacturers during the Heimtextil Frankfurt 2006, the largest and most international specialized trade fair for home textiles and commercially-used textiles, in Frankfurt, Germany. It emphasized the effort of remaining American suppliers to enhance their positions with existing producers and to seek replacements for those companies they already are doing business with.
