ABSTRACT
This article deals with the problems associated with the minority ownership of major advertising agency holding companies. The problem seems to be one belong to African American-owned agencies and African American-owned media. Such large Hispanic agencies as Bromle, Aguilar, Mendoza, Dilion, Siboney and Conill were acquired years ago before 1999. But in the African American community, according to Burrell Communications Group's Tom Burrell, the industry is still at a point where the symbolism of African American ownership has value to the African American community.
