Handguns make headlines in media

This article reports that the topic of gun marketing and advertising is the biggest marketing story of the month of June 2005 under the SPINdex sample of influential media outlet in the U.S. The media could not get enough of stories about attempts to curtail the marketing of firearms in the wake of the Columbine High School tragedy. The Number 2 story of the month, the marketing of the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, had some gun- and sword-play of its own an that type of action contributed to its near-record-setting box office pace, not to mention a Forceful amount of marketing tie-ins.
