Ad Age promotes Pollack to new post

This article reports on the promotion of Judann Pollack, the Chicago bureau chief of Advertising Age, to assistant managing editor in 1999. In her promoted post, Pollack will be more involved in the editorial management and production of the weekly publication while retaining her existing duties. Those includes reporting on food and tobacco marketing. Pollack joined Advertising Age in New York in 1985 as an editorial assistant and soon began covering package-goods products. After a short stint with Campbell Soup Co. in the early 1990s, she rejoined Crain Communications Inc. as managing editor of Advertising Age International.
