ABSTRACT
The article reports on the selection of Mary Hartney, the president of the Florida Fertilizer and AgriChemical Association for the Southern Crop Production Association's Don W. Beise Award for her services to agriculture and the agricultural chemicals industry. She has been awarded for her efforts for the crop protection industry. In March 2005, she along with other members of her association went to Tallahassee, Florida to lobby state senators and representatives on issues related to agricultural business in the state.
